Frequently Asked Questions

The GIF isn't inserting where I want it

Make sure you click in your document to place your cursor before clicking a GIF in the sidebar. If no cursor is set, Goophy will let you know to click in the document first.

My search isn't returning results

Try using simpler or different search terms. GIF search works best with 1–3 descriptive words.

Goophy doesn't appear in my Extensions menu

Make sure Goophy is installed from the Google Workspace Marketplace. After installing, refresh your Google Doc™.

The GIF inserts as a still image

Google Docs™ may render some GIFs as still images depending on the file. The animated preview is visible in the Goophy sidebar before you insert.
